Life can sometimes be hard, but in the little things I see God. This morning, during breakfast , I was reading a Martin Luther King Jr book to my kids and had an epiphany by the end of the story .Brentin, my son, who is autistic/ ADHD, is struggling to find his place as a sixth grader in a big school. Fallon, my daughter, is learning what a true friend is as a third grader. I am trying not to pull my hair out from worrying whether they will make the right decisions in their daily lives. The book talked about Martin's story ,which we already know , but one thing stood out to me when he said ,"we must use love and peaceful methods to change an unfair society." My kids are changing daily and their lives are being shaped, God showed me through something as small as reading this children's book that it's all going to work out. There will be resistance, bullies, bad friends, good friends, and a plethora of other experiences in life, but we will push through to the other side. I'm so grateful for the soft reminders that my heavenly father gives to show that he's in control. I hope that you will find time today to pay attention to the little things, because there you will find a loving God that will show you that all things work together for the good of those who love him.
