This world is cut throat!! People will praise you one day and yell “crucify her/him” the next!! It’s imperative to develop tough skin or thick skin in order to stay the course of God’s plans for your life. Though my business has started and is going really well , life has a way of knocking us down at times. My son was recently diagnosed with Autism and I don’t really know how to feel about it. I find myself having minor meltdowns because I never want him labeled or treated differently because of things he can’t control. I never want either of my kids to feel an ounce of hurt or sadness. That’s a mother’s love. I am coping with this new information and realizing that God doesnt make mistakes, EVER!! So just because my unique son is Autistic he is STILL a blessing!! I am glad I know now so I can get him the help he needs. I believe that it’s natural for me to experience feelings of anxiousness or uncertainty in light of this new thing that’s come up in my life. However, Should I just quit everything and feel defeated? Of course not!! There have been things way worst that have happened in my life, that shook me to my core.. guess what I made it through! It even toughened me up a little bit!! So I know having a child with Autism won’t break me either!!! God STILL hasn’t changed his mind about me or my children. I want to encourage someone tonight who may feel defeated right now, you’re coming out on the other side of this thing! You may have to develop tough skin in the process of it, but you’re going to look back later in life and wonder, “ why did I stress over this situation in the first place?” Romans 8:28 tells us that : “And we know that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord, and are called according to his purpose..” So that tells me the good, the bad, and the ugly things that occur are ALL working for my good in some way!!
